IPFT declared candidates for both Tripura Lok Sabha seats

The BJP IPFT coalition is on the verge of breaking within 1year of its formation.

Meanwhile CM biplab kumar Deb was present at an meeting held at New delhi today discussing about the candidature of BJP candidates.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to announce their candidates in New Delhi on Sunday.

Reacting to its ally’s move, BJP spokesman Nabendu Bhattacharjee said: “We would appeal to the IPFT to reconsider their decision and withdraw the candidates otherwise political rivals would get the electoral advantage.”

In last year’s assembly polls, the BJP-IPFT alliance defeated the Left overwhelmingly, winning 44 seats in the 60-member assembly.

But Separate candidature published by the IPFT party put a question mark on the validity and existence of the Coalition Govt.

The IPFT, which won eight of the seats, has two ministers in the nine-member ministry.

Elections for the West Tripura constituency would be held on April 11 and for East Tripura constituency on April 18.
