Agartala, Nov 5: The Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) has once again launched a movement demanding the creation of a separate state, Tipraland. As part of the initiative, awareness meetings were held simultaneously across eight districts of the state.
Addressing a gathering at the Pramodnagar Community Hall in Jampuijla, Sepahijala district, IPFT Central Committee General Secretary Swapan Debbarma said that the party has been demanding a separate Tipraland state since its inception. “From today, we are restarting a strong movement to achieve this long-standing demand,” he said, urging all Tipra people to unite in the cause.
