The present government of the state is sympathetic to the farmers.

The state government is implementing diverse development projects to make the farmers financially self-reliant.

Prisons Minister Ram Prasad Paul said this on Wednesday while inaugurating a program organized at the town hall.

The program to provide financial assistance to the affected farmers of Sipahijala district under the National Disaster Relief Fund scheme.

He said that the current state government is working in various ways to help the farmers from various problems.

So far in the current fiscal year, 26,264 farmers of Sipahijala district have been brought under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
