Washington, DC: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking at the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Washington, delivered a strong message on terrorism, asserting India’s sovereign right to protect its people.
In the presence of his counterparts from the United States, Japan, and Australia, Jaishankar called for a global zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, urging the international community to reject any false equivalence between victims and terrorists.
“The world must stand united against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. India has every right to defend its people,” Jaishankar stated, underscoring New Delhi’s firm stance on national security and counter-terrorism cooperation.
The Quad meeting also discussed regional security, Indo-Pacific stability, and strengthening collective efforts against transnational threats.
