Jayanti Debbarma takes charge as the Chairperson of Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights

On Monday, Jayanti Debbarma has taken charge as the Chairperson of Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

It is to be noted that Jayanti Debbarma is the daughter of late NC Debbarma, the founder of the IPFT party (BJP’s ally in Tripura) and former Minister.

Jayanti Debbarma was defeated in the Asharambari Constituency by TIPRA Motha candidate Animesh Debbarma in recently concluded Assembly Elections in Tripura.

The Central leadership of BJP has decided to appoint Patal Kanya Jamatia of the BJP and Jayanti Debbarma of IPFT in a MoS rank post.
Political analysts believe that BJP central leadership has decided to promote these two women leaders, as they are eyeing the tribal vote bank.
