Kasbeswari Kali temple in Tripura to receive Rs 17.63 crore facelift by ADB: Sushanta

“The tourism center will be developed around Kasba Kali temple and Kamala Sagar lake. For this, a project of 17 crore 63 lakh rupees will be implemented for infrastructure development. The project will be implemented by Tripura Tourism Development Corporation with financial support from Asian Development Bank.”

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this while inaugurating the tree planting program organized at the open stage at Kasba Kali temple premises in Kamala Sagar on Monday.

He started the tree plantation program by watering a sapling on stage.
The Minister of Tourism and the guests of the event later formally planted trees on the banks of the Kamala Sagar lake and interacted with the students present at the event.

Inaugurating the tree planting program, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, “The same way we nurture a child with love, a tree sapling should also be nurtured with care. Only then will the success of the tree plantation program come.”

He said, nowadays, tree planting is also important like blood donation.
Minister Chowdhury urged everyone to participate in planting trees to protect the environment.

He said, “The state government is implementing various schemes to make the youth self-reliant. The development of the tourism industry in the state will further expand the avenues of alternative income.”
MLA Antara Sarkar Deb among others spoke on the occasion.

After officially planting the trees, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury held a meeting with local public representatives, District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Tourism Department and officials of various departments. In the meeting, the development of the tourism sector centered on the Kasba Kali temple was discussed in detail.
