Debolina Roy has been appointed the Assistant Loco Pilot with the Indian Railways. She is the first woman of Tripura to be appointed as a Loco Pilot.

While interacting with media, Debolina Roy said, “Many people used to think that Loco Pilot or such other posts are only for man. However, Loco Pilot position is very good for girls or women.”

She added that other girls should also go for such posts if they get the chance and should not avoid the opportunity of being recruited.
Notably, Debolina Roy is an engineer by degree.

She is an alumni of Don Bosco School, Agartala.
Debolina completed her diploma in Electrical Engineering from TIT (Tripura Institute of Technology), Agartala.

Then, she completed her engineering in 2017 from Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT) in Kolkata. Debolina’s family lives in Agartala, the capital city of Tripura.

She already completed her Loco pilot training and is all set to join her duties. Debolina Roy, Tripura’s first woman Loco Pilot will be appointed in the Kharagpur division of the Indian Railways.
