A preparatory meeting was held yesterday at the conference hall of the Dhalai District Magistrate’s office to celebrate Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign programme in Dhalai district.
Additional District Magistrate Ajit Shukla Das presided over the meeting. Representatives of 3-tier Panchayats, Additional District Magistrate Biswajit Pal. Sub- Divisional Magistrates of four Sub-Divisions of the district, BDOs of 8 blocks, DCM and officials of various departments were present in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that trees will be planted in every gram panchayats and ADC village of the district between 9 and 15 August.
Besides, the family members of freedom fighters, martyrs of various security forces will be honoured Plaques will be placed near Amrit Sarovar or near the Panchayat office in various gram panchayats and ADC villages in the district. Vice Chairman of Ambassa Panchayat Samiti Arun Dev emphasized on proper celebration of other programmes of this campaign in the district.
In the meeting, Additional District Magistrate Biswajit Pal discussed in detail about all the programmes which are part of this campaign in the district.
