MoS Pratima Bhowmik handed over free motorized tri-cycles were provided to 94 disabled individuals

Aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Collective Efforts, Inclusive Development), the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organized a camp where free motorized tri-cycles were provided to 94 disabled individuals.

Union Minister of State, Pratima Bhoumik, personally handed over the 94 motorized tri-cycles that cost around 45 lakhs, to the differently-abled individuals at the Narsingarh CRC in Agartala.

She said, “Today is a day of great joy and pride for the people of the state, especially the Divang brothers and sisters. I had planned to do such a program in Agartala for a long time, today it has been implemented.”

Bhoumik emphasized that these tri-cycles would enable the recipients to lead a more independent life and generate income for themselves.
