Bishalgarh: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist after his bike collided with the convoy of state minister Shukla Charan Noatia at the Bishalgarh bypass lockdown market area on Tuesday.

The impact of the collision threw the rider onto the road, causing severe head injuries and heavy bleeding. He reportedly died on the spot.
Following the incident, Minister Shukla Charan Noatia immediately stopped his convoy and arranged for the injured motorcyclist to be taken to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.

However, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The incident led to intense tension at the hospital premises shortly after.
According to sources, the accident occurred while the minister was traveling from Agartala to South Tripura to attend a party programme.

Speaking on the matter, Minister Noatia stated that the motorcycle was being driven at a high speed and collided with the escort vehicle of the convoy. He also mentioned that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The minister expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Further details regarding the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of the accident are awaited.
