NEP will be introduced in the state in primary level from next year: Education Minister

From next year, the new national education policy will be introduced in the state from primary level.

Currently it is running at the university level.
Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said this at Rabindra Hall of the university on Monday on the occasion of 61st Teacher’s Day.

Chief Secretary J K Sinha, Tripura Board of Chairman of Higher Education Dr. Arunoday Saha, Education Department Secretary Shorodindu Chowdhury, Basic Education Rights Officer Chadni Chandran and Higher Education Officer N C Sharma were present in the event as guests.

Guests paid their respects to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.

On this day, teachers and various schools were also awarded in many categories.

In the event, the Education Minister requested the teacher society of Tripura to introduce the new national education policy in the education system of the state and said that it will become a challenge in the near future.

In this case, the teaching society has to work with full dedication for the welfare of the students of the state.

Quoting the former president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, the education minister said, Mandela said that education is the only weapon with which society can be changed.

The Education Minister said that if we want to build a self-reliant Tripura, the teachers should focus on the character building of the next generation.
