On Saturday a delegation of NSUI Tripura unit led by President Samrat Roy placed a deputation before SP Traffic and submits a memorandum

In the letter NSUI President Samrat Roy wrote “I would like to recall the sad and inhumane incident happened on 13/01/2022 as two Tiprasa students were allegedly attacked by few police correspondents of Tripura Traffic police due to the sudden breakdown of their motor vehicle in front of the convoy of Hon’ble Chief minister of Tripura Shri Biplab Kumar Deb. This was merely a small accident which the traffic officers could have been solved with peaceful and practical treatment. But unfortunately those on duty official persons of your respected department arrested those students without any notice and tortured them mentally and physically leaving behind a big question about the public and student safety throughout the capital city Agartala as well as Tripura”.

He also added “Hence, for the sake of students of Tiprasa people we demand immediate suspension of the police officers involved in this enarchial act or else we will gather a mass agitation with this burning issue”.
