Dharmanagar, May 25: Police have arrested one accused in connection with the mysterious death of Yuva Morcha leader Rahul Kishore Roy in Dharmanagar. Following a complaint lodged by the deceased leader’s wife, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against seven persons.

Acting on the complaint, police arrested an accused identified as Konkan Chowdhury from the Bhairab Sarani area late on Sunday night.

Police sources said the arrested accused is currently being interrogated, while efforts are on to trace and arrest the remaining accused persons involved in the case.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
