Chief Minister Biplab Deb has revised the legacy between the folks of two states, Manipur and Tripura.
There CM was being greeted and honoured with the prestigious traditional Meetei turban by the delegates of Manipuri community.
Right after the felicitation, CM Biplab Kumar Deb and other dignitaries present there unveiled the glimpse of first ever official Manipuri Calendar publicly.
The most decorated faculty of Manipuri Cultural University shri, Mutum Manitan also got felicitated by the CM in the event.
A short traditional dance event then got presented before the dignitaries to make the event more enjoyable and cherished.
In his speech, CM Biplab Kumar Deb talked about various sides of Tripura-Manipur interstate relations.
“Tripura and Manipur has always been two special friends from a long long time. Our culture, tradition and thoughts match to a large extent irrespective of caste, creed and religion. PM Modi is focused on redefining the ties among the seven sisters of North East.
For that he has given us Agartala-Jiribam Express for making our ties, bonding and connection between the two state more stronger and deeper.” he said.
