Agartala, Wednesday: Tension gripped the area in front of Shishu Bihar School on Wednesday evening following the alleged abduction of a one-month-old infant.

According to reports, a woman had left her four-year-old child and her one-month-old baby at a passenger shelter near the school while she went to a nearby restroom. However, upon her return, she discovered that her newborn was missing.

The four-year-old child, crying inconsolably, told the mother and local residents that an unknown individual had taken the infant and quickly fled the spot. The incident sparked panic among the public, drawing a large crowd to the area.

Upon receiving information, police personnel rushed to the location. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby establishments and have launched a search operation to trace the suspect and rescue the missing child.
