PM-Vishwakarma Yojana will play an important role in the development of traditional industries: MoS Pratima Bhowmik

“PM-Vishwakarma Yojana will play an important role in the development of traditional industries of the country. This scheme is also an attempt to include the artisans and artisans who are backward in the society in the mainstream of the development of the country.”

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik said this at the inauguration of PM-Vishwakarma Yojana at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the PM-Vishwakarma Yojana at a function at YashoBhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi on Sunday.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Enterprise and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Medium and Small Industries Minister Narayan Rane, Union State Minister Bhanu Pratap Burma and others were present at the inauguration ceremony in New Delhi.

Inauguration ceremony of PM-Vishwakarma Yojana in New Delhi was telecast live in Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan. The event was organized by NEPCO (North Eastern Electric Power Corporation).

Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik also said, “PM-Vishwakarma Yojana was launched for the welfare of those working in nation building. Through this scheme construction, artisans and artisans are not only being helped to become self-reliant, but are also being honored. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated this scheme for the development of a neglected group. This scheme will also play a role in the economic development of rural areas of the country.”

Power Minister Ratanlal Nath, Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department KS Shetty, District Magistrate of West Tripura District Debapriya Bardhan, NEPCO Regional Director of Technical Department Narendra Sharma were also present.
