Campaigning for Tripura’s one (West) Lok Sabha seats going to polls on April 11 ended Tuesday evening with the BJP top leadership seeking votes and the Congress, alleging corruption in the Rafale fighter jet deal in rallies over the past fortnight.
Top leaders from every sides, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah,Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Congress president Rahul Gandhi,Manik Sarkar, Sitaram Yechury addressed rallies in the state.
Modi addressed two rallies in Tripura while state leaders of all the parties held over two dozen rallies in different constituencies.
The prime minister addressed rallies at Agartala and Udaipur while Shah addressed rallies in Agartala.
Rahul Gandhi addressed one rally in Khumulwng, Tripura.
Sitaram Yechuri addressed one rally in Agartala
The BJP-IPFT which had won 44 seats out of 60 from the state in 2018 Assembly elections.
