New Delhi, November 5: Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarman has announced the formation of a new political party aimed at opening a new chapter in the politics of North Eastern India.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi on Tuesday, Debbarman said that the new party will be formed by uniting various regional parties from across the North Eastern states. He informed that discussions are already underway with regional leaders from Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and other states.
Pradyot emphasized that the main objective of the initiative is to build a united political force to protect the interests of the people of the North East and ensure that their demands are represented equally at the national level.
Political observers view this move as a significant step that could reshape the political landscape of the region. Experts suggest that if successful, the new formation may strengthen movements aimed at safeguarding ethnic and regional identities.
However, questions remain regarding the structure, leadership, and future roadmap of the proposed party, which are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
