Pratima Launches first Public Data Office

The central government is working towards the goal of providing internet service to every corner of the country.

Work is underway to make the Internet accessible, especially in rural areas.

Minister Of State, Pratima Bhowmik inaugurated the first Public Data Office of BSNL North-East 1 circle at Konabne, Sipahijala District in Tripura.

The Minister expressed satisfaction over the service provided by BSNL and hoped that the service would be easily available in rural areas.

She said “I am delighted to see how we are successfully transforming North-East India into a digitally empowered society. It is pertinent to mention that in this digital age, the common people and industries will largely benefit from the Wi-Fi connections installed. This initiative is a boon for boosting the growth and development of rural areas and I extend my hearfelt gratitude to Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji for the transformational of the PM-WANI scheme”.
