A social empowerment camp was held on Monday at Rajarshi Hall, Udaipur. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik inaugurated the camp by lighting a lamp.
Inaugurating the camp, she said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the initiative to create a developed India by 2047. Till 2014, there were 6 AIIMS in the country. Currently, there are 18 AIIMS. Work is underway for overall development of the health system. An international standard laboratory will be set up in Tripura. It will facilitate 147 types of tests.”
Bhowmik further said, “The work of modernization of the country’s railways is going on at a cost of 41 thousand crores. Kolkata can be easily reached from Agartala through Bangladesh. The central and state governments are working for the overall development of the people of the society through the implementation of various schemes of the central government.”
She added, “Self-help groups are being formed to make the mothers self-reliant and arrangements are being made for them. The central government is implementing various schemes for the welfare of the poor.”
Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik handed over the ambulance to the in-charge of Kakraban Social Health Center on Monday.
