Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced on Monday that the budget session of the Tripura Assembly will commence on March 1.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assembly.
Nath said to reporters, “The session will run until March 5, with a break on March 2 and 3. The aim is to conclude the budget session before the announcement of the schedule of Lok Sabha polls.”
Nath further said, “The session will commence with the introduction of supplementary grants, followed by the budget speech by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Question Hour, tabling of the BAC report, and calling references on the first day.”
Additionally, the Tripura Public Demand Recovery Act amendment bill will be discussed, and private resolutions will be debated for 2.5-3 hours.
The minister added, “The supplementary grants and the amendment bill will be passed on March 4, followed by a discussion on the budget.”
