President Smt. Droupadi Murmu presented the Padma Shri in the field of Literature and Education to Prof. Arunoday Saha from Tripura.
He is an economist and a well-known literary figure with many readers in India and abroad. He has made important contributions to higher education, especially in economics, and has also enriched Bangla literature through his writings.
Prof. Arunoday Saha, a distinguished academician and the first and founding Vice Chancellor of Tripura University, has received the prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ from President of India Droupadi Murmu on Monday.
Prof. Saha has been conferred the ‘Padma Shri’ award for his exceptional contributions in the field of literature and education.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has congratulated Prof. Saha on being honoured with ‘Padma Shri’, one of the highest civilian awards of the country.
