Rain spoils festive mood before puja

Durga Puja is drawing nearer but the rain, an effect of Cyclone Titli is playing spoilsport in the festive mood.

The Met office has predicted some intense spells of rain across the state in the next 72 hours.

The Capital yesterday recorded 17.0 mm rain but today there will be heavy rainfall across the state.

While moderate rain and cloudy sky played spoilsport to shoppers, MeT office said heavy rainfall for next two days.

Intermittent rains have not only disheartened the shoppers but also became a prime concern for pandal makers.
