Today is Rath Yatra, the famous Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath.

Rath Yatra is the celebration of Lord Jagannath’s week-long journey from Kurukshetra to Bindraban to visit his maternal aunt’s house along with his elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra.

The Rath Yatra of Puri, Odisha is the oldest and biggest Rath Yatra.

Jagannath temple of Agartala is also celebrating the festival in a grand way on 1st July.

Thousands of devotees are expected to participate in the Rath Yatra this year due to no strict COVID restrictions.
