SC Welfare Minister laid foundation stone of girl’s hostel at Pabiacherra HS School

The government has given priority to educate the students of the scheduled caste community in quality education. The state government has taken various steps for the convenience of their education.

SC Welfare Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das said this while laying the foundation stone of a 50-bed Schedule Caste student hostel at Kumarghat Pabiachhara Class XII School on Thursday.

He also said that the student hostels of Scheduled Caste community are being renovated and a healthy environment is being created. Notably, 2 crore 86 lakh rupees will be spent for the construction of this dormitory with 50 beds from Schedule Caste Welfare Department.

While laying the foundation stone of the hostel, SC Welfare Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das said that the awareness of education among people has increased to a greater extent than before.
He said, “The state government is also giving importance to education. The government is building hostels in different parts of the state keeping in mind the scheduled caste and tribal students of poor houses. More hostels will be built in the coming days”.
