Gautam Chakraborty, a founding member of the Tripura Journalists Union and a senior journalist, has been suffering from liver-related ailments for some time and is currently ill at home.
Pranab Sarkar, the President of the Tripura Journalists Union, visited Chakraborty’s house today in order to inquire about his health. Pranab Sarkar, who traveled from Agartala, arrived at Chakraborty’s residence at 4:30 PM. He was accompanied by Dilip Dutta, Biplob De, Sujit Saha, Bitu Majumder, Sunny Alam, and Prasenjit De, journalist from Udaipur.
During the visit, Pranab Sarkar spoke with Gautam Chakraborty about his health and expressed his intention to arrange for advanced treatment in Delhi.
He mentioned that he would soon discuss with the state government the possibility of sending Chakraborty to Delhi for medical care.
As a gesture of support, Pranab Sarkar personally handed over a small sum of money to the journalist.
All journalists and colleagues have expressed their heartfelt wishes for Gautam Chakraborty’s speedy recovery.
