When the entire state is bussy with Elections, Shishu Bihar Alumni responded to the crisis of Blood in Blood Banks and organised a Blood Donation Camp today in the auditorium of Shishu Bihar HS School ,keeping in mind the Blood Doners’ Day.
The unique thing of the Blood Donation Camp is that the entire Blood Donation Camp is being organised by the females of Shishu Bihar Alumni.
“This is for the first time in the History of Shishu Bihar Alumni that a Blood Donation camp and Art Competition is being Organised exclusively by females”said Secretary of Shishu Bihar Alumni Association Sri Abhijit Samajpati .He added that this year an art competition was organised from ClassVI to XII to create awareness on Blood Donation. Five best paintings of each group has been given award of best five.
Convener of the Blood Donation Camp Smt Sreyashi Debbarma informed that 31 people donated Blood.Among them this year a good number are females.
“A condolence has also been done in memory of Abhishek Saha ex student of Shishu Bihar who passed away three days ago” said Preetha Chowdhury.
Prizes has been given to the winners by Debabrata Sengupta, Souvik Bardhan Roy, Kishalaya Ghosh, Sagar Paul Advisory Board Members of Shishu Bihar Alumni Association. Organising Secretary Nilanjan Sharma , Joint Secretary Arghya Bhattacharya, Treasurer Sayan Sarkar, Deeya Saha , Nilanjan Saha and others were present in the programme.
HEAD Master of Shishu Bihar HS School Sri Subroto Bhattacharya said “Shishu Bihar Alumni Association is praiseworthy as they are continuesly engaged in philanthropic activities”.
