Sonu Nigam To Perform LIVE At Agartala On December 23: Sushanta Chowdhury

On Monday Youth Affairs and Sports minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced that the popular singer Sonu Nigam will come on December 23 in Agartala to perform live at Swami Vivekananda Stadium.

While speaking to the media at the Civil Secretariat, he said that the Youth and Sports Affairs department took an initiative of distributing sports materials among 1500 clubs across Tripura from December 23 as part of the ‘Khelo Tripura Sustho Tripura’.

YAS minister Sushanta Chowdhury said “The YAS department organized one-month long ‘Khelo Tripura Sustho Tripura’ in different blocks across Tripura. The aim is to create awareness among youths about their physical and mental development”.

He further added that a mass rally will start at 3 PM from Umakanta Academy ground and end at Astabal ground (Swami Vivekananda Stadium) where players, NSS staff, etc will participate.

YAS minister said that local artists will also perform in cultural events on that day.
He added that the one-month long campaign would draw attraction of youth toward sports and they would stay away from drugs.
Chowdhury further said that distribution of sports materials among clubs will begin December 23 onwards with the musical concert at Swami Vivekananda Stadium.
He added that the materials include cricket balls, bats, footballs, volley balls, badmintons, etc.
