STGT Candidates Protest, Demand Immediate Publication of Results

Agartala, July 2: Candidates of the 2022 STGT (Selection Test for Graduate Teachers) examination staged a protest on Tuesday, demanding the immediate publication of their exam results and completion of the recruitment process.

The candidates alleged that despite repeated appeals to the Chief Minister and other concerned ministers over the past several months, no initiative has been taken to address their demands. They expressed frustration that while the Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura (TRBT) recently published the results of the TET (Teachers’ Eligibility Test) examination, the results of the STGT exam have been indefinitely delayed.

The protesting candidates also voiced concern that due to this prolonged delay, some of them may soon become overage for government recruitment. They have urged the Chief Minister to intervene promptly, publish the results, and expedite the recruitment process to ensure justice for the aspiring teachers.

The agitation highlights the growing discontent among job seekers in the state’s education sector over delays in recruitment and result publication.
