Dharmanagar: Allegations have surfaced that stone-laden dumpers continue to ply through the town at night in violation of restrictions imposed by the North District Administration.

Despite clear instructions from the administration to use an alternative route via Ragna, several transporters are reportedly ignoring the directive.

Local residents have expressed serious concern over the continued movement of overloaded vehicles through the town. They allege that a section of unscrupulous traders is deliberately flouting the ban without fear of enforcement.

The situation was particularly evident on Sunday night in the Mantala area of Jail Road, where multiple overloaded dumpers were seen passing through the locality. According to residents, the movement of these vehicles begins every evening, turning the area into a dust-filled zone and severely disrupting daily life.

With hundreds of overloaded dumpers allegedly traversing the town each day, questions are now being raised about road safety, infrastructure stability, and the effectiveness of administrative monitoring.

Residents have urged the authorities to take immediate and strict action to prevent further inconvenience and potential hazards.
