SW&SE Minister attends in review meeting at Dharmanagar

People should be made more aware about various welfare schemes of social welfare and social education and labour department. More publicity should be given to the projects. Only then common people can take advantage of these schemes.

Minister of Social Welfare and Social Education Tinku Roy said this in a review meeting of North Tripura district-based Social Welfare and Social Education, Labor and Youth Affairs and Sports Department today.

The meeting organized in the conference hall of North Tripura District Magistrate’s office discussed the progress of implementation of various projects of social welfare and social education, labor department and youth affairs and sports department.

In the review meeting, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy said that the Social Welfare Department should sincerely implement various projects to prevent child marriage, create a drug-free society, and help the disabled more.

A representative of the Labour Department said that 3,982 construction workers are registered in the district under the construction workers welfare scheme. 2,485 workers have registered online. 651 people have applied for education grants in the current financial year. Out of this, 60 applications have been approved.
