TBSE Revises Examination and Registration Fees for Secondary and Higher Secondary Levels

Agartala, Oct 10: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has announced a revision in examination and registration fees for both secondary and higher secondary levels, covering six different categories. The revised fee structure will come into effect from Friday, TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury informed during a press conference in Agartala on Thursday.

According to Dr. Chowdhury, the examination fee for the secondary level (five subjects) has been increased from ₹130 to ₹300, while the vocational fee remains unchanged at ₹75. As a result, the total examination cost for secondary students now stands at ₹375, compared to the earlier ₹205.

For higher secondary students, the examination fee has been raised from ₹160 to ₹400, with an additional ₹75 applicable for each practical subject — taking the total from the previous ₹235.

The registration fees for both levels have also been revised, increasing from ₹110 to ₹210. The Board clarified that the changes cover six categories — application, registration, practical, center, review, and examination fees — and are aimed at addressing the rising costs of goods and services.

Dr. Chowdhury stated that the decision was made to ensure smooth administrative operations and better examination management amid increasing expenses.
