Agartala: Following the tragic martyrdom of 26 tourists in a terrorist attack in Pahelgaon, Kashmir, tension has gripped the entire country. In the wake of this incident, a rally was organized in Agartala where former Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar strongly criticized the BJP, RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), and Bajrang Dal.

Addressing the gathering, Sarkar alleged that “attacks on Muslim minorities are being orchestrated in various states after the incident happened at Kashmir.” He further claimed, “Many are brandishing weapons, issuing threats, and using social media to incite violence under the influence of the RSS and BJP.”

Sarkar went on to say that even open death threats are being made against Muslims. Questioning the current political atmosphere, he asked, “Is India the ancestral property of the BJP and RSS?”

His remarks have sparked sharp reactions in the political arena. While some have supported his concerns about communal tensions, others argue that such statements are inappropriate during this sensitive period. The Union Home Ministry has already urged all political leaders and public figures to refrain from making communal or provocative statements in the aftermath of the attack.
