The government is implementing different plans for socio-economic improvement of rural arcas of the state. the facilities of government schemes and services are being delivered to village areas through Prati Ghare Sushason campaign.
The government has given utmost importance to development of rural areas to build a self-reliant state, enunciated Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma after inaugurating Gram Diwas programme in Brajpur Gram Panchayat of Charilam block yesterday. He said, the government is working for welfare of the people of all sections of the state.
Rural women are being involved in Self- Help Groups to make them self-dependent. The government is providing assistance in different ways to the SHGs which as a result is helping the rural women become self- dependent. 20 senior citizens of Brajpur Gram Panchayat were felicitated in the programme.
The Deputy Chief Minister handed over souvenirs and scarves. LPG connection were given to 5 women under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, bicycles were distributed to 27 students and assistances have been provided for goat and pig rearing to selected beneficiaries under Chief Minister Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana. Chairperson of Charilam Panchayat Samiti Rakhi Das Kar, Bishalgarh SDM Binoy Bhusan Das and Charilam block BDO Ripon Das were present in the programme. The programme was presided over by Chairman of Brajpur Gram Panchayat Mithun Deb.
