Information & Cultunal Affairs department organizes cultural workshops throughout the year in different areas of the state to promote cultural exercises among the young generation.
A cultural workshop was organized in Anandnagar of Sadar sub-division from March 7 till March 23 with the students of 5 schools Dr. B. R. Ambedkar English Model School, Anandanagar HS School, Shyamaprasad HS School, Kabi Sukanta High School, Vivekananda Memorial School.
Total 130 students were given training by the artistes of Satyanistha Cultural Society on-tribal and Bengali folk dances besides training on Rabindra, and patriotic songs. The cultural workshop was organized with the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs department, West Tripura district in association with Satyanistha Cultural Society. Today a closing programme of cultural workshop was held at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar English Model School. Cooperative Minister Ramprasad Pal in the closing programme said, the main objective of these kind of workshops is to create right opportunity to bring out talents from different areas.
He hoped that the students who have taken training in the workshop wil shine bright in the future and make the state proud. He landed Satyanisthe Cultural Society for its works and hoped that this organization will continue its work in the future.
