The present government, taking along everyone, aims to take the state ahead through knowledge and work: ICA Minister

As the human attains knowledge, negative thoughts will disappear. The Book Fair will be successful only when the scent of knowledge can be spread among book lovers.

In this regard, knowledge mentality is important than business mentality, said Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury after unveiling different book covers of Niharika Publishers at Lata Mangeshkar stage on the third day of 40 Agartala Book Fair at Hapania International Mela campus.

ICA Minister handed over Sukamal Biswas Memorial Award to veteran painter Swapan Nandi and to Professor Biswajit Gupta for English literature.

Total 71 book covers of Niharika Publishers were unveiled during the programme, ICA Minister said, human stay alive with their philosophy and ideology and that comes through books. Books provide us with knowledge and power. He hoped that these unveiled books will be liked by readers in future. He also said, change in everything is essential with changing times.

The venue for the Book Fair has also been changed according to the demand of time. The huge crowd on the third day of Book Fair proves that the decision was right. He hoped that same heritage of the Book Fair will be maintained in the future also Agartala Book Fair will become the best Book Fair in the Northeast.
