Tax paid by taxpayers plays an important role in the economic development of the state.
Taxpayers are partners in the overall development of the state.

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma said this while inaugurating the state’s best tax payers felicitation program as part of ‘Prati Ghare Sushasan’ campaign at Pragya Bhavan on Wednesday.

30 taxpayers were felicitated on the occasion.
The reception is organized by the Taxes Organization of the Ministry of Finance.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devabarma inaugurated the function of welcoming the taxpayers and thanked all the present taxpayers.

He said that the taxpayers help the government indirectly. He added that the government wants to be tax friendly and related instructions have been given to the officials of the department.
