Charilam, July 6: A gang of thieves broke into the BJP party office in the Uttar Brajpur area under Charilam Assembly constituency late Friday night, stealing valuable items including a television and other furniture. The incident came to light on Saturday morning when party workers arrived at the office and discovered the theft.

Following the incident, a complaint was immediately lodged at the Bishalgarh police station. Police officials rushed to the spot upon receiving the information and began an investigation.

The incident has triggered panic in the area, particularly as reports indicate a series of thefts occurring in recent times. Locals claim that a gang has been stealing items such as solar light batteries and other materials from the roadside regularly.
