Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the Budget for FY 2020-21 presented in the House today laid maximum emphasis on poor and rural people beside women, students and farmers. In his reaction on the Budget, the Chief Minister said the Budget comprises development-oriented proposals meant for all-round growth of Tripura.
In the Budget, 19 new initiatives and projects have been proposed for building modern Tripura. Apart from this, the Budget also includes proposal on phase-wise implementation of various projects worth around Rs. 30,000 for infrastructure development which would bring a massive change in the state on coming days, the Chief Minister said.
Congratulating the Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma who also holds the Finance portfolio, the Chief Minister termed the Budget is ‘pro-people and inclusive’ and it reflected the aspirations of 37 lakh people.
The Chief Minister said that he believes that the Budget would script a new era for the overall development of Tripura.
