The alleged killers of Khokon Das, a Hindu resident who was brutally murdered in Bangladesh, have been arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
Acting on a tip-off, RAB personnel conducted a raid in the Kishoreganj area and detained three suspects believed to be directly involved in the crime.
According to official sources, the deceased, Khokon Das, a resident of Shariatpur district, had named the accused before his death. Based on his dying declaration, the three suspects—identified as Sohag, Rabbi, and Palash—were taken into custody. A murder case has been registered against them.
The incident occurred on December 31, when Khokon Das was attacked by miscreants while returning home from a pharmacy. He was allegedly beaten, doused with petrol, and set on fire.
He succumbed to his injuries on Saturday after undergoing treatment at a hospital for nearly three days. The incident has once again drawn attention to incidents of violence targeting minorities in Bangladesh.
