Three suspected Rohingyas were arrested again in Agartala, from Agartala railway station on Sunday.
Tapas Das, OC of Agartala Railway Station, GRP Police Station, said that like other days, when the routine search of the railway station was carried out, some people were suspicious after seeing their movements, and they were called for questioning.
He added, “During interrogation, they admitted that they are Rohingya residents of Myanmar. About eight years ago today they entered India illegally and are working in Hyderabad.
They came to Agartala to go to Myanmar. However, due to the strictness of the border, they could not go to Myanmar illegally through Bangladesh.”
OC Tapas Das further said, “They decide to go back to Hyderabad again. Therefore, they came to the railway station. However, at that time they were detained.
The arrested said their names were Abdul Rashid, Md Yusuf, and Hamid Hossain respectively. All of them live in the Mondu police station area of Aikub District, Myanmar.”OC added that all of them will be sent to court.
