Guwahati, July 5: Train services on the Lumding-Badarpur Hill section under Northeast Frontier Railway were restored this morning after being suspended due to a landslide last evening. The incident occurred at KM 51/2-3 between Dihakho and Mupa stations, where boulders and earth debris had blocked the railway track, halting train movement.
Restoration work began immediately, with senior railway officials rushing to the site to oversee the operation. Teams worked through the night on a war footing to clear the debris and secure the tracks for safe train operations.
Train services resumed around 9:42 AM today. The first train to pass through the restored section was the 12520 Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express.
