Political heat broke out between Congress and BJP party activists in different areas of Majlishpur assembly constituency on Thursday.

It is known that the leaders of the Congress party organized a political rally in the Majlishpur area without any permission from the police.

Various provocative comments were made against the leaders and workers of the ruling party by outsider youths from this rally.

As a result, the situation in the area gradually heated up.

At a point, the miscreants of the Congress party attacked the workers of the ruling party and a scuffle started between the two sides.

MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former MLA Ashish Saha and other leaders of the Congress party were present in the rally.

Meanwhile, a large police force was deployed on the spot after receiving information about the incident.

They went and tried to bring the situation under control.

The local people complained that the Congress party was doing various provocative incidents and comments on Thursday and poisoned the peaceful environment of the Ranirbazar area.

Once the outsiders that came in the name of Congress rally attacked the workers and supporters of the BJP.

Some stones fell on the car of Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman during the clash that began between both parties.

The Congress accused the ruling party BJP for the incident.

However, BJP leaders claim that this allegation is baseless.

A large number of police and TSR went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
However, a tense atmosphere could be observed in the entire Majlishpur assembly after this incident.
