Tripura has been awarded with Light House Project under Global Technology Challenge by MoHUA GoI

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji today announced to award Lighthouse Project to Tripura to construct 1000 Delling Units(flats) under Global Technology Challenge today in the National Conference at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi.

Among other states to get such projects are Gujrat, UP, Jharkhand, MP & TN. The project will demonstrate latest, modern, innovative, disasterproof , eco- friendly and affordable housing construction technologies in entire country which can be replicated elsewhere.

This project will take place over 2.86 hectares of land at Akhaura Gol Chakkar where 1000 multistory apartments for Economically Weaker Secrions/Low income group will be constructed. This Lighthouse Project will be immensely helpful to develop such high rise multistory housing townships in Agartala and other towns of Tripura so as to tackle acute shortage of housing on urban sector.
