Tripura Police arrested one with huge amount of contraband items, including Indian and Bangladeshi currencies

Today on 04/06/2021 on the basis of secret information Addl. SP(Urban)West, SDPO, Sadar along with O/C, West Agartala PS, O/C, AD Nagar PS and staff conducted raid and search at Battala market as well as in the house of one Samir Banik S/O Sri Sukharanjan Banik of AD Nagar, Subhash Pally, PS-AD Nagar.

During raid Police seized i) Brown Sugar-13 Gm(approx), ii) Yaba Tablet-150 Nos, iii) Indian Currency-Rs. 75,87, 260/-, iv) Bagladesh Currency 44,808/- Taka, v) Gold Ornaments-572.98 Gms, vi) 02 Nos. Mobile phone set from both the places.

In this connection a specific case under NDPS Act has been registered at West Agartala PS.

The accused person Samir Banik has also been arrested in connection with the case.
