As a part of Nesha Mukt Tripura drive, Khowai District Police made major achievement against drug trafficking on 03/11/2022.
Based on information today on 03/11/2022 at about 1220 hrs Shri Prasune Kanti Tripura Sub-Divisional Police Officer Teliamura, Shri Subrata Chakraborty, Officer-In-Charge Teliamura Police Station along with other officers & staff detained one vehicle bearing registration No. HP-17-E-7113 infront of Teliamura PS on NH 8.
During search Police recovered total 1190 kgs dry Ganja contained in 119 Nos packet from the said vehicle.
Accordingly Police seized the same with vehicle bearing registration No. HP-17-E-7113 & arrested the driver of the vehicle namely Sher Singh S/O Surjit Singh, Mayapuri, Tibba Road. Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, Punjab, 141007.
A specific case under NDPS Act is being register in this regard for further legal steps.
