In order to encourage the youth of the state in sports, the state government has taken the initiative of reserving posts for sportsmen in the recruitment of government jobs.

A decision in this regard will be taken soon in the state cabinet. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this in a press conference organized at Secretariat on Friday while highlighting the success of various infrastructural developments of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department.

He said that the state government will take a decision in this regard after reviewing the policy of reservation of posts for players in the government jobs of the country.

He added that most importance has been given to the development of sports infrastructure to improve the quality of sports.
