An allegation of incident of rape was reported on 26/10/2022 at Kalyanpur Police Station.

On receiving the information police immediately registered a case vide No. Kalyanpur PS case No. 45/2022 U/S 341/325/382B/354/376D/A/34 IPC and Sec 04 POCSO Act and started investigation of the case.

Based on evidence collected Police has arrested 2 (two) FIR named accused persons in connection with the case for their role in commission of the crime.

Raids are being continued to arrest the remaining accused persons.

All necessary legal steps have been taken including medical check-up and recording of the judicial statement of the victim girl. Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim girl was taken to a abandoned house at Khas Kalyanpur by the FIR named accused persons while she was going to Khas Kalyanpur along with her friends. Subsequently the girl was gang raped.

Police is using scientific aid to investigation and other forensic technique for the investigation.

Tripura police is giving highest priority to preventing crime against women in the State. Further investigation is going on.
