Five-year-old Ansuya Ghosh from Shishu Bihar School showcased remarkable empathy and selflessness by donating her long hair to a cancer-stricken woman, Sanghamitra Shaligram.
The 50-year old woman Sanghamitra is undergoing treatment at Nagpur National Cancer Institute. Sanghamitra had lost her hair due to chemotherapy, and her request for a hair transplant reached Ansuya’s parent, Animesh Ghosh, a resident of Baradowali in Agartala through a social organization in Bangalore.
In a heartwarming gesture, Ansuya and her family decided to donate her hair, offering hope and support to someone battling cancer. With the help of her parents, Ansuya’s hair was cut and dispatched to Sanghamitra. It shows a meaningful demonstration of compassion and solidarity in challenging times.
Sima Chakma, Ansuya’s mother and a teacher, expressed her immense pride in her daughter’s proactive gesture, and she encouraged others to offer support to individuals fighting cancer.
