YA&S Minister attends in inauguration programme of wood curving camp at Nazrul Kalakshetra

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy attended the inauguration of the National Wood Carving Camp at Nazrul Kalakshetra on Wednesday.

He said, “Tripura wants to highlight itself as the leading state of the country in the field of culture-art-industry. There is no dearth of talented artists in Tripura. They should be used properly”.

Lalit Kala Academy Chairman V Nagdash inaugurated the camp. 50 artists from the state and country have participated in this camp.

In the function, the Youth Affairs and Sports Minister said that the state government will take all necessary initiatives so that the talent of the children of the present era can be developed.

He added that all concerned should pay attention so that artists can benefit financially, especially in the field of woodcarving.

Roy further said that it must be ensured that the talented artists are not affected by the advent of modern machinery.

Speaking on the occasion, Cooperative Minister Shuklacharan Noatia said that the girls and boys of Tripura will benefit from the participation of experts from all over the country in this camp.

He added that the more the youth community advances in the fields of literature, art, culture etc. the more they will benefit.
Noatia hoped that such events would play an important role in taking Tripura forward.
